Up-lights designed to cast ambient, glowing light against a wall, changing the colour of the ambient light to maximise productivity in a space.
The Circadia up-lights were the result of a project with the theme of `waste`. My particular approach to this was to explore the idea of wasted time which led to the circadian cycle- the natural rhythm of alert and drowsy that affects all of us.
As it turns out this rhythm is strongly affected by the ambient light in your environment, the colour temperature of this light triggering the release of different chemicals in the brain. By being able to easily adjust the colour temperature of the light emitted from Circadia, this light enables you to maximise efficiency in either your place of work or at home.
